David Shelley has been performing all over the place including gigs in Florida with the Alligator Alley Allstars and jamming with Grammy-winning guitarist Brian Stoltz (Neville Bros, Funky Meters, PBS). December 2005: Frannipalooza Benefit Sunday, December 4th, 2005, David performed with bass player Kilmo and roots man Raiford Starke for the Frannipalooza Benefit. Franni, a longtime close friend, blues fan, and concert promoter is suffering from a neck injury requiring much surgery. In addition her home was devestated by last year's hurricane. It was a great turnout with musicians like local favorite Albert Castiglia and legendary blues man John Mooney. Best wishes to Franni! (More info here.) November 2005: On Stage with Government Mule! On November 13th, 2005, David was invited onstage to perform with Government Mule at the Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale Fl. He joined Warren Haynes to perform the Elmore James Classic "Look On Yonders Wall." Longtime friends of Government Mule, David is often invited onstage to jam with the band. David is uncle to drummer Matt Abts son Jake. See photos on Government Mule's website here! April 2005: Concert at the Lyric Theater in Stuart! David and Bluestone perform a special headlining concert at the historic Lyric Theatre in downtown Stuart, Florida on Saturday, April 23! November 2004: Casinos and Festivals! David will be holding down a regular Thursday night slot at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in November. Look for him also at the revitalized Riverwalk Blues & Music Festival on November 20. On August 7 he performs in Bloomington, Indiana at the The First Annual Joshua Duke Memorial Scholarship Bash.
